He celebrated the premiere of his first feature film, ‘The Stranger,’ in Venice – his second work, ‘Yunan,’ made it straight into the competition at the 2025 Berlinale and can now be seen at the Hamburg Film Festival. Ameer Fakher Eldin is one of the up-and-coming young filmmakers and currently lives in Hamburg. He shot most of his drama on a Hallig island in Schleswig-Holstein. His life story can currently be seen in the cinema with Fatih Akin's "Amrum". Now Hamburg film legend Hark Bohm, Director of classics such as "Nordsee ist Mordsee" and co-founder of the Hamburg Film Office, has passed away at the age of 86. In addition to "Amrum", he also wrote the scripts for "Tschick" and "Into the Fate" with Akin.

The MOIN committees are funding a total of 31 projects with 3.1 million euros in their latest funding round. The highest sum went to the family adventure "Miniatur Wunderland" - with 1.1 million euros in funding and 23 days of filming in the region.
