Oberhafenstraße
20097 Hamburg
Between the Zollkanal and Oberhafen has been a bridge to the old district Klosterhafen since Jan.1st.2008. Its historically precursor was built up between 1902 and 1904. Moreover, freight traffic was used to cross under the bridge in past, so it is a swing-bridge that has four tracks above for the railway and downstairs two traffic lanes. The old Oberhafenbrücke was demounted between Dec.26th, 2007 and Jan.1st, 2008 and displaced from the prefabricated bridge.
Additional information
It is difficult to get a permit to block off the bridge during weekdays. If a permit is granted two policemen from the relevant police station are in charge of blocking off the bridge.
