The impressive Hamburg town hall, is a manifestation of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg´s traditions, was built at the end of the 19th century in the style of the Northern Renaissance. The facade and the luxurious interior were designed and built by many artists from all over Germany. The town hall is the official residence of the Senate and the State-City Council. The town hall also accommodates the Mayor´s offices, offices of the parliamentary groups and various other official rooms. Altogether the building has 647 rooms.
Additional information
The Great Hall closes to the public at 7pm. There will be no contract as unforeseen state affairs have priority. Permission only after careful consideration.
